(Units have been assigned a 30 minute arrival time)
  • Camp Lyle McLeod is on a gravel road with varying amounts of dust & potholes!
  • DO NOT use your GPS! Most definitely use the camp map found on our website!
  • Animals, i.e. your pets, are not permitted on camp property.
  • Campers should come to camp dressed in their swimsuit under their street clothes along with a backpack containing:
●beach towel ● underwear ● plastic bag for wet swimsuit● flashlight ● water bottle ● any other personal items they may need before they go to their unit after dinner.

  • Upon arrival to camp at your assigned time (Times are staggered. If you have more than one camper, use the earlier arrival time), you will be directed where to park. All of check in will occur in the parking lot. You check in at the Registration, visit the Health Supervisor for a Health Check, pick up any sweatshirts pre ordered, and then drop your gear in the assigned area. Remember to bring over-the-counter and/or prescription medications in their original containers along with the medication record form.
  • Your Unit Leaders will be waiting for you!
SATURDAY DEPARTURE
August 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Parking lot will open at 10:00 to begin check out.
  • In addition, regarding LUGGAGE, please wait until you and your camper can pick up their luggage together. That way they can be sure that they get all of their gear and you can be sure that you do not inadvertently pick up something that is not theirs.

Emergency Procedures if there is ever a need to evacuate camp:
Girl Scouts of Western Washington council staff continually track natural disasters closely, monitoring the air quality index (AQI) in the region, and coordinating with the Mountain Valley Director and the team of camp staff on-site to ensure the safety of all campers at Camp Lyle McLeod.
If we need to evacuate camp, an email will be sent out to all families.
Camp Lyle McLeod has an arrangement with the local school district. Buses will come to camp and pick up all campers and volunteers and take them to the Girl Scout Office in Bremerton. After arrival, volunteers will begin calling all families.  Camper and Volunteer safety is our number one priority. We do our best to start each camp session with the camp safety expectations as well as emergency Volunteer procedure training.
