Teen Leadership Positions
We offer several teen leadership programs at Mountain Valley Community Camp. Teens who are entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall can join our Program Aide (PA) program. Teens entering grade 12 can apply to take part in our CIT or Leader in Training program. Girls who apply for any of our teen leadership programs are expected to attend all 7 days of camp. To apply for any of our teen leadership programs please download the corresponding application and all registration paperwork found in the registration tab on this website. Program Aide (PA) Program Aide or PA program is for girls entering grades 9 through 12 in fall 2019. This teen leadership program allows girls to enjoy camp both as a camper and build leadership skills. During the day PAs share knowledge of games, songs and experiences by assisting in program areas throughout camp. In the evening PAs experience camp as a unit with their PA advisors. Program areas include arts & crafts, outdoor skills, swim dock, boat dock, core or working in a unit of Brownies or Juniors. Application does not guarantee acceptance into the PA program. Leader in Training (CIT) New this year Mountain Valley is offering a CIT program. Leader in Training or CIT is available to girls are entering 12th grade in fall 2020 or graduating in the Spring of 2020. CITs will spend their week at camp volunteering in adult roles as unit leaders. Each CIT will be paired with an experienced leader, a mentor and meet daily with a CIT advisor. CITs will be required to attend all Mountain Valley trainings. In addition to an application CITs will be required to complete an in person interview.
