Teen Leadership Positions
We offer several teen leadership programs at Mountain Valley Community Camp. Teens who are entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall can join our Program Aide (PA) program. Teens entering grade 12 also have the opportunity to apply to take part in our LIT or Leader in Training program. Campers who apply for any of our teen leadership programs are expected to attend all 7 days of camp. To apply for any of our teen leadership programs please download the corresponding application and all registration paperwork found in the registration tab on this website.
Program Aide (PA)
Program Aide or PA program is for campers entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall of 2023. This teen leadership program allows campers to enjoy camp both as a camper and building leadership skills. During the day PAs share knowledge of games, songs and experiences by assisting in program areas throughout camp. In the evening PAs experience camp as a unit with their PA advisors. Program areas include arts & crafts, outdoor skills, swim dock, boat dock, core, or working in a unit of Brownies or Juniors.

Leader in Training (LIT)
Leader in Training or LIT is available to campers entering 12th grade in the fall of 2023 or graduating in the Spring of 2023. LITs will spend their week at camp volunteering in adult roles as unit leaders. Each LIT will be paired with experienced leaders and a mentor and will meet throughout the week with a LIT advisor. LITs will be required to attend all Mountain Valley trainings. In addition to filling out the LIT application, LITs will be required to complete an in-person interview.
